The struggling Toronto Maple Leafs are rumoured to potentially be thinking of trading one of Brandon Carlo or Max Domi per analyst David Pagnotta.

It’s been five straight losses for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are not accustomed to this kind of losing streak in the last several years.

Right now, the Leafs are tied for the last spot in the Atlantic Division with the divisional foe Buffalo Sabres.

Per a new report from analyst David Pagnotta, the Maple Leafs could be considering parting ways with one of either forward Max Domi or defenseman Brandon Carlo.

If they do anything impactful, they’re going to have to move dollars out. And if they really up their efforts to try to bring in somebody that can stabilize that top-six, you’re probably gonna hear names like Max Domi and Brandon Carlo.

Domi, who is the son of beloved former Maple Leafs forward Tie Domi, is playing in his third year in a Maple Leafs sweater and was signed to a four year contract extension last summer.

Carlo was acquired from the divisional foe Boston Bruins at last year’s Trade Deadline, and is now playing in his first full year in a Maple Leafs sweater.

The Maple Leafs Are Struggling In The First Quarter Of This Season

It’s not helping matters for the Maple Leafs that they have so many players who are hurt right now, including captain Auston Matthews and goaltender Anthony Stolarz.Head coach Craig Berube has already held his team’s feet to the fire with several frank comments after their recent losses, but it hasn’t helped them right the ship as of yet.

There could be big changes in store for the Maple Leafs if they don’t turn things around here soon.
