Marco Sturm had good news and bad news on two of his injured players.

Bruins center Elias Lindholm will travel out west with the team for a four-game road trip that begins Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks, the coach told reporters after Tuesday’s optional skate.

Lindholm has been on injured reserve with a lower-body injury suffered on Oct. 30, and returned to practice earlier this week.

Charlie McAvoy, however, won’t travel. The defenseman took a puck off the face against the Montreal Canadiens and missed Monday’s tilt with the Carolina Hurricanes.

McAvoy fell to the ice immediately after the deflection — which left a good amount of blood on the ice — and was helped to the locker room.

An official update on McAvoy could come later Tuesday, per Boston.com’s Conor Ryan.

The Bruins could bring another defenseman on their road trip, but need to wait for a corresponding roster move.
