Philip Tomasino has cleared waivers, but there is not yet word on what his assignment will be. Prior to the 2 p.m. deadline, Dan Muse said they were going to wait and see what happens with Tomasino before determining whether he would head to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.Â
Players like Danton Heinen and Ryan Graves had recent success down in the AHL and came back to contribute at the NHL level. Perhaps Tomasino could, too.Â
“I think we have seen guys that have benefitted from spending time in Wilkes,” Muse said. “They do a great job, their staff does a great job and there are guys that have seen that.”Â
