Columbus Blue Jackets News & Notes:
The Columbus Blue Jackets have managed to get seven out of their last ten points, but ultimately lost their last game to the Winnipeg Jets. The Blue Jackets will look to push themselves right back into the win column against an injury-riddled Leafs team. The Blue Jackets will look to continue some of their offensive success they’ve found this season, while the team looks to push towards being buyers at the deadline rather than sellers, as they look to find their way into the playoffs.
Toronto Maple Leafs News & Notes:
The Toronto Maple Leafs finally found a way to win, snapping their five-game losing streak with a 3-2 overtime victory over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night, thanks to the setup from John Tavares and the slick finish from William Nylander. The Leafs have been performing offensively, but have struggled to find their way defensively, and the injury bug surely has not helped. Scott Laughton remains a game-time decision at this point, but should he draw back into the lineup, adding another centre into the lineup would be a major boost.

Players To Watch:
Columbus Blue Jackets
Kirill Marchenko has been one of the most consistent offensive threats for Columbus this season, leading the team with 22 points through 20 games. The 24-year-old Russian winger showed major signs of elite skill last season and has followed it up this season just as much. Marchenko is a key to the Blue Jackets success and will look to be a factor for the team tonight as they look to find their way back into the win column.
Toronto Maple Leafs
Nick Robertson continues to have an interesting path with the Leafs. After starting his career with much hype, he has struggled to find a carved-out role on the Leafs. That seemingly has changed this season, though. With injuries throughout the lineup, Robertson has spent the majority of the season in top-six minutes and has made the most of it. Robertson has been fiesty and fast, and for the most part has been noticeable on the ice. Robertson has shown signs of all these things in the past, but the consistency has lacked. Now is the time for Robertson to cement his role in the lineup and show he can be a consistent part of the team’s success.
