If you squint, the blonde and luscious locks of fake hair might fool you.
In the Columbus sports Halloween spirit, former Blue Jackets right winger Cam Atkinson shared his elaborate costume of former Ohio State football player Bobby Carpenter in an Atkinson-Carpenter collaboration Instagram post on Nov. 2
In the video, Atkinson wears a muscle suit with a No. 54 Bobby Carpenter Dallas Cowboys jersey and a wig with long blonde locks to recreate Carpenter’s signature hairdo.
“Hey guys. It’s me, Bobby Carpenter, ah? Best player ever to play a game of football. Number one, baby,” Atkinson said, poking fun at Carpenter.
The former Blue Jacket then jogged outside in the outfit, revealing his bottom half was only draped in a Speedo from the muscle suit.
“There’s something off about that costume I just can’t put my finger on it,” one commenter wrote.
Atkinson signed a one-day contract and retired as a Blue Jacket on Oct. 16.
