The red-hot youngster looks to keep the San Jose Sharks on the right path, as Macklin Celebrini and company get set to take on the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night.

Celebrini impressed many thanks to a respectable rookie season, but in year two in the NHL, the 2024 Hobey Baker Award winner is tearing up the competition. On Tuesday night, the Boston University product accounted for all three of the Sharks’ goals against the Utah Mammoth, including the game-winner in overtime, to give his team a 3-2 win. It was his second hat trick of the season and third of his career.

With the performance, Celebrini now has 30 points in 20 games. He joins Hall of Famers Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, as well as Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, as the only teens to score 30 points in the first 20 contests of a season.

Now, the Sharks, who have won seven of their past 10 games, take on an experienced Kings team that’s looking to get back on the winning track after losing to the Washington Capitals on Monday.
