The Pittsburgh Penguins are hosting the Minnesota Wild in an NHL game Friday night, looking to win their second straight game after ending a recent skid this past Sunday. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET with TV coverage on NHL Network and streaming on-demand.

Penguins vs. Wild: The matchup

The Penguins are off to a 10-5-4 start to the season but had dropped three straight games before ending their losing streak against Nashville on Sunday in Sweden. After getting a few days to adjust following the long road trip, Pittsburgh is hosting the Wild with a chance to improve to 6-2-1 at home on the year on Friday. Evgeni Malkin leads the Penguins in points with 23, while veteran Sidney Crosby has 12 goals to lead the team.

As for the Wild, Minnesota is 10-7-4 on the year entering Friday night’s game in Pittsburgh and is on a three-game winning streak. The Wild have also won five of their past six games. It has been quite the turnaround for Minnesota after it got off to a 3-6-3 start to open the season. Kirill Kaprizov leads Minnesota with 24 points, accounting for 11 goals and 13 assists. Matt Boldy is tied with Kaprizov for the team-lead in goals with 11 and has contributed 11 assists.
