The Florida Panthers (11-8-1) will conclude a five-game homestand when they play host to the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl-winning Edmonton Oilers (9-9-5) tonight at Amerant Bank Arena in the first meeting between the teams since the 2025 Stanley Cup Final.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 31 shots to make Sam Reinhart’s first period snipe stand up in Florida’s 1-0 win over the New Jersey Devils. It was Bobrovsky’s second shutout of the season and the 51st of his career. Gustav Forsling drew the lone assist on Reinhart’s goal, which gave Sam 1 the NHL lead in game-winning goals (five). A couple of milestones took place in Thursday’s contest. Defenseman Jeff Petry suited up for his 1,000th NHL game and forward prospect Jack Devine played his first.

Edmonton will be finishing off a grueling seven-game trek east when they face the Cats tonight. The Oilers are 2-3-1 on the roadie thus far, and managed to eke out a point in Thursday’s tough 2-1 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Trent Frederic scored Edmonton’s only goal and Stuart Skinner made 33 saves before he was beaten by Jake Guentzel 1:43 into the extra session. Connor McDavid is second in the league in scoring with 32 points, while Leon Draisaitl is tied for third in goals with 14.
