The Grand Rapids Griffins suffered their first regulation loss of the season when they fell 2-1 to the Charlotte Checkers Friday.  That halted a season-launching streak of the Griffins earning one point or two in 12 consecutive games (11-0-0-1). That is a team record. Detroit prospect Sebastian Cossa made 26 saves in the loss.
