San Jose Sharks forwards Michael Misa and Jeff Skinner both have skated each of the last two days.
Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky says he got good reports from both forwards regarding how they felt following their on-ice sessions. Unfortunately for the Sharks and the two forwards, their return from injury is unlikely before Thanksgiving.
“Both had good days today, so we’ll see. I would still say they are a week to 10 days away,” Warsofsky said.
The San Jose Sharks head coach was asked to clarify if that timeline pertained to Misa and Skinner’s eventual return to the lineup or practice.

“I’d say it’s too early to say,” Warsofsky said. “We’re hopeful that by the end of next week, they’ll be joining practice.”
Warsofsky says he hopes Misa and Skinner will join the team for practice by the end of next week. Still “a week to 10 days away” per Warsofsky. Skinner is still slightly ahead of Misa. #SJSharks— Max Miller (@Real_Max_Miller) November 22, 2025
Warsofsky told reporters that Misa was further behind Skinner’s two-week timeline on Monday. The San Jose Sharks are still going with that timeline, but it doesn’t sound like Misa will be out much longer than Skinner.
Misa has remained close to the Sharks and their day-to-day operations. Warsofsky says the Sharks centerman has attended all power-play meetings and remained engaged in film study.
“He’s in the power play meetings. We will also sit down and show him other videos,” Warsofsky said. “Whether that’s player development driven, our players, or players around the league. [We’ll] sit down and go over with him. He’s definitely busy.”

Misa had started to really find his game before suffering a lower-body injury before a game against the Seattle Kraken.
