Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Kane joins legend Brendan Shanahan in total career points in the NHL.
American-born forward Patrick Kane is one of the best to suit up in the NHL.
Kane has played a total of 1,315 games in the NHL, split between the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, and New York Rangers.
After winning three Stanley Cups, you wouldn’t think there was much more for him to accomplish, but the milestones continue to pile up for the legendary forward.
Against the Columbus Blue Jackets, he scored 2 points (2 A), one of them being an assist on an Alex DeBrincat and Ben Chiarot goal.
Quite an accomplishment for a forward who is poised for a spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto when he retires.
The Detroit Red Wings Are Lucky To Have Patrick Kane
Patrick Kane has accomplished another milestone that puts him in the Red Wings’ history books with this one.
Last year, he surpassed Mike Modano, another US-born legend with the most 20-goal seasons to his name, until Patrick Kane came along. Coincidentally, another Red Wings forward, too.
Kane continues to produce at an elite level for the Red Wings and is helping to keep the team on top in the Atlantic Division in his third year with the Red Wings.
“Showtime” continues in Motor City this year, as his contract expires at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
Who knows what’s in store for him next? Kane was out of commission with a shoulder injury weeks ago but looks to be back where he needs to be.
