Grand Rapids Griffins Announce Two Roster Transactions

The Grand Rapids Griffins remain at the top of the Central Division of the AHL after a historic start to the season.

So far, after 14 games, the team has only lost once in regulation time and once in shootouts.

On Sunday, the organization announced that Carter Gylander, who was called up from the ECHL after the injuries to Cossa and Postava, is returning to the Toledo Walleye.

In four games with the Griffins, Gylander, 24, had a 0.929 SV% and a 2.02 GAA.

In addition, the team also revealed that they called up Jacob Truscott from the ECHL as well.

The player made his professional debut earlier this season in a game against the Manitoba Moose.

After two games in the AHL this season, the Michigan native tallied an assist.

He was also drafted 144th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2020 NHL Draft.

The Griffins will be back in action Tuesday against the Texas Stars.

An official update regarding the status of the Griffins’ goalies should come before then.

Stay tuned for all the details.
