Nothing like good, old-fashioned domination against a bitter rival, as the Michigan Hockey program swept the weekend series over Ohio State impressively, also securing its 100th win over the Buckeyes in rivalry history.

November 21

Highlights:

Where: Ann Arbor, MI

Result: Michigan wins 5-2

Of Note: Despite playing from behind for the majority of the game, the Wolverines took a 2-2 tie into the third period, where Jack Hughes gave U-M its first lead of the game early into the third period and didn’t look back. The Wolverines dominated the final period and tacked on two more goals to put the game away.

November 22

Highlights:

Who: Ohio State

Where: Ann Arbor, MI

Result: Michigan wins 8-1

Goals: Hughes, T.J. (2); Eernisse, Josh (1); Draper, Kienan (1); Park, Aidan (1); Hage, Michael (1); Horcoff, Will (1); Valentini, Adam (1)

Of Note: U-M dominated the game from start to finish, as 14 Wolverines scored points in the rout over the Buckeyes. The Wolverines held a shutout into the late stages of the game when the Buckeyes spoiled it with a power play goal in the final minute. The victory marks the Wolverines’ 100th victory in the history of the rivalry with the Buckeyes, which dates back to 1964. U-M’s record against the Buckeyes is now 100-53-16 all-time.

U-M is heading into its final non-conference series of the season, as it heads to Massachusetts to take on Harvard on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST and will be streaming on ESPN+.
