San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini was named the NHL’s 3rd Star of the Week on Monday.
Macklin Celebrini was named the NHL’s 3rd star of the week. Second time this season the #SJSharks forward has been named a star of the week— Max Miller (@Real_Max_Miller) November 24, 2025
Celebrini has been included in this weekly award once before this season. For the week of Oct. 19-26, the Sharks’ superstar was named the first star of the week.
In four games over the past week, Celebrini had four goals and three assists. He is currently on a five-game point streak overall, scoring four goals and four assists.
Two of Celebrini’s four goals were game-winning goals, including Sunday against the Boston Bruins. With his GWG on Sunday, Celebrini passed Patrick Marleau (six) for the most game-winning goals by a teenager in San Jose Sharks history.

Celebrini holds second place in the NHL in points with 34 (14 goals, 20 assists) in 23 games played. The entire league has fully embraced the Sharks centerman as one of the premier players in the world. His chances of making Team Canada’s Olympic roster are only rising with this stellar play.
Celebrini has remained humble throughout his rapid rise to superstardom in the NHL. He’s stated multiple times that he doesn’t care about the records he’s breaking; he only cares about more wins for the San Jose Sharks.
The Sharks will play one more time before Thanksgiving, and it won’t be an easy matchup against the Colorado Avalanche. From 2005-06 through last season, 77.1% of NHL teams in a playoff spot on American Thanksgiving made the postseason.
While tied with the Utah Mammoth and Los Angeles Kings for a playoff spot on Nov. 24, the Sharks sit outside a postseason spot due to playing one more game. A win against the NHL’s best on Wednesday could put them in a prime position to be viewed as a playoff contender.
