Martin St-Louis shares early road-trip lineup thoughts after Texier’s first Canadiens practice

The Canadiens opened the week with an unexpected scene in Brossard as key players returned to the ice and Alexandre Texier took his first strides in Montreal colors.
Patrick Guillet even mentioned a nice opening sequence from Texier, suggesting he already feels comfortable with the team.
Texier is progressing well but his role remains to be determined
For his part, Martin St-Louis commented on Texier’s arrival with a bit of caution. He explained that the Canadiens see something in his potential.
“We like the potential of the player or else we wouldn’t have signed him and now it’s how we’re going to use that and I don’t know yet.”

He then emphasized that nothing is set regarding his immediate integration into the lineup. He wants Texier to settle in with the team first.
“Martin St-Louis says he doesn’t know how quickly Alexandre Texier will get into the line-up or who he will play with when he does draw into a game; right now it’s about Texier getting acclimated with the team, learning their systems.”
