Bad boys, bad boys.

Good morning and happy game day Stars fans! The Stars are gearing up for a quick back to back on the road, as they take on Edmonton tonight and Seattle tomorrow night in their barns.

The boys in Victory Green showed some resilience on Saturday, fighting back from a 2-0 hole to steal a point in regulation (overlooking the shootout loss, but those can go either way) – but of course, that’s not what anyone was talking about postgame. And on that note, if you haven’t heard, we’re Mikko Rantanen-less for the night, as he serves his 1-game suspension for picking up two game misconducts in a week 41 games. On the bright side, he’ll be available again in Seattle tomorrow, and I’m curious what the lines will shake out to tonight…will we maybe get a Matt Duchene sighting?

Hey…we’ve got a pretty good thing going in Dallas.

Great piece on that resilience I was talking about from Mike Heika.

Around the Central

The Stars have the only game in the NHL tonight, so it’ll be all eyes in Edmonton. Here’s a quick recap of last night’s action in the division.

The Blues continued their trudge in mediocrity, despite making a last ditch comeback effort at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers still sent St. Louis packing 3-2. (NHL.com)

In Nashville, they’re praying for mediocrity, but instead getting just a listless stretch with not much to pin hope on. They got thrashed 8-3 to the Panthers at home in a game that wasn’t even really that close. (ESPN)

Speaking of not-close, Logan Cooley and the Mammoth decided to pile on the Golden Knights with a 4-goal, 5-point night in Utah. (NHL.com)

Finally

I mean, I’ll take the Esa smile…but WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Not quite yet…👀 pic.twitter.com/tBrRe6arcH
