A former Vancouver Canucks forward has officially found himself a new club for the remainder of the 2025-26 season after he became a free agent over the summer.

However there are some former Canucks that are looking for their next landing spot including Nic Petan, who was released from his contract just months after signing a multi-year deal, as well as Tyler Graovac, who became an unrestricted free agent in the summer after his fourth season in the KHL, but it looks like the latter has finally found his new club for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.

Joining Tyler Graovac at Lada Togliatti is Slovak forward Tomas Jurco who brings 221 games of NHL experience to the club after suiting up for the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights between 2013-14 & 2020-21.

Note: the following is translated from Russian

“Lada Hockey Club has signed forwards Tomáš Jurčo (Slovakia) and Tyler Graovac (Canada) to one-way contracts until the end of the season.

Jurčo will wear number 98 for Lada, Graovac will wear number 94.” the club said in a press release.

Graovac, a native of Brampton, Ontario, signed with the Vancouver Canucks in the summer of 2019 and went on to appear in 22 games with the club, registering six points (five goals, one assist), eight penalty minutes and was a minus-five.

After the 2020-21 campaign, Graovac became a free agent and turned his attention to the KHL where he’s spent the last four seasons with Dynamo Minsk, HC Vityaz, Admiral Vladivostok and Kunlun Red Star.
