It will take just 22 games of the 2025-26 season for the Flyers to be finished with the defending back-to-back Stanley Cup champions. After opening the season against the Florida Panthers on the road, then hosting them in the home opener, the Flyers and Panthers meet one more time on Wednesday night, closing things out before Thanksgiving arrives.

The Flyers are looking to get back on the right track on the road trip after falling in Monday’s game against the Lightning, 3-0. That snapped a two-game winning streak and was just the second time in the last eight games that the Flyers did not get a point in the standings.

The Panthers are fresh off a dominating 8-3 win over the Nashville Predators on Monday and have won five of their last seven games.

Owen Tippett had a four-game points streak snapped in Monday’s shutout loss in Tampa. He had seven points during that time, including a four-point game against St. Louis on Nov. 14.

Sam Reinhart has been red hot for the Panthers. He is on a seven-game points streak, scoring six goals and 13 points during that time.

Dan Vladar gets the start for the Flyers. Vladar made 32 saves on 35 shots in his last start, a win over the Devils on Saturday. Vladar has faced Florida twice this season. He took the loss on Oct. 9, making 32 saves on 34 shots. He picked up the win on Oct. 13, stopping 24 of 26 shots.

Sergei Bobrovsky gets the start for the Panthers. Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 17 shots in a loss to the Oilers in his last start on Saturday. Bobrovsky picked up a win over the Flyers on Oct. 9, making 19 saves on 20 shots.
