Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider has played at an elite level and has completed franchise history.

In 23 games for the Detroit Red Wings this season, Moritz Seider has scored a total of 16 points (3-13).

Along the way, Seider has been a reliable producer for the Original Six during their Centennial Season.

He’s been putting the apples away, as he’s accomplished a feat not done by many, recording the most multi-assist games for the Red Wings by a player under the age of 25.

Seider has had two multi-assist nights this year, against the Buffalo Sabres and the New Jersey Devils recently.

Those two put him above legends like Nicklas Lidstrom, with a total of 33 multi-assist games during his career.

The 24-year-old Detroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider emphasizes consistency

The former 6th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft has been a reliable producer for the Detroit Red Wings.

He hasn’t had a season under 40+ points since he arrived in Detroit, and during his rookie year in 2021-22, he scored 50 points (7-43).

Todd McLellan complimented his game:

«Mo is just Mo,» McLellan said. «There’s no better way of saying that, because you get the same thing every night, over and over again. The energy he plays with – he never seems tired. He plays with some physicality, defends fairly well and can provide offense.»

He’s earned the trust of Todd McLellan and the love of fans in Hockeytown.

The latest record puts him above a Red Wings legend, and he’s just starting now.
