The Detroit Red Wings are getting set to take on the Nashville Predators tonight coming off a 4-3 loss to the Devils on Monday night. Ahead of the game they announced the activation of forward Elmer Soderblom from injured reserve. Soderblom will play on the third line tonight alongside JT Compher and Mason Appleton. The Red Wings also placed forward Michael Rasmussen on injured reserve retroactive to November 20th. Soderblom this season in 11 games has scored one goal and he’s a minus-four; that goal came on October 28th against the Blues. Rasmussen in 19 games this season has five points on two goals and three assists; he’s a minus-four.

Elmer Soderblom
The Red Wings drafted Soderblom 159th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. In three seasons has played in 58 games recording 20 points on ten goals and ten assists. He’s a minus-two with three game-winning goals.

Michael Rasmussen
The Red Wings drafted Rasmussen ninth overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. In 409 career games over seven seasons, he has 145 points on 62 goals and 83 assists. He’s a -44 with six power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and seven game-winning goals.
