The Nashville Predators are struggling, and with plenty of rumours circulating, GM Barry Trotz has revealed that everything is currently on the table.
Just a few years ago, the Nashville Predators appeared to be genuine contenders in the Western Conference, but with plenty of changes in that time, they’re a team that’s on a major downswing.
With a record of 6-12-4, they’ve fallen to last place in the entire National Hockey League, with NHL Insider Frank Seravalli recently labelling this team and locker room as the most toxic in the entire league.
Barry Trotz says everything is on the table
As of right now, the belief is that the Predators are open to some changes, and with the speculation of potential trades and letting go of their Head Coach, General Manager Barry Trotz has stated that all outcomes are currently still on the table.
Everything’s on the table. I know people out there (are discussing) everything from letting the coach go to moving assets right away … all of that’s really on the table. We’re going to have assess all of those things and make those decisions.
With the team struggling so much under Andrew Brunette, it’s a given that a change is coming behind the bench, and with veterans like Jonathan Marchessault, Filip Forsberg and Juuse Saros all potentially drawing attention around the league, some trades would make sense as well.
All things considered, it makes sense for Trotz and the Predators front office to be weighing up changes as they look to potentially rebuild for the future, and unless the team can turn it around quickly, those changes could impact the entire future of the franchise.
