First Period
Great defense from Durzi early on here.
Rush opportunity for the Canadiens and Durzi played it perfect as he closed down space, denied any outlet pass, and got low to intercept the opportunity.

McBain trips Lane Hutson and he’ll head to the box.
Montreal PP on deck.

What a save from Vejmelka on a 2-on-1 situation that resulted in a quick shot from Caufield right in the low slot.
He moved incredibly fast to get across and stop the shot.
That puck should’ve ended up in the back of the net.

McBain is out of the box.
Roughly a minute to go on the Marino penalty. https://t.co/ztZxJlUyXP

1-0 Montreal.

Canadiens are playing with a lot of speed and physicality tonight.
Drawing penalties and finishing hard checks.
That’s a tough combo to defend against.

Habs again on a quick rush.
Suzuki gets the goal on another one-timer.
2-0 Montreal.

Keller is tripped and Utah will have their first PP opportunity of the night.

Pretty much the opposite of how you want to play Montreal.
They are so dangerous off the rush and have a decent power play too.
Lots of work for Utah to do over the next two periods. https://t.co/BBu5SdWpu4

Second Period
My goodness.
Cooley just absolutely stood up Gallagher along the boards.
Gallagher thought he could catch Cooley off guard. He thought wrong.
Cooley is stronger than he looks.

Montreal to the box for delay of game.
Utah to the PP.

You could smell that goal coming from the Mammoth.
Absolutely dominant O-zone possession for the last 4 minutes and they find the back of the net.
Huge save from Vejmelka just moments before to stop Caufield on the breakaway.
We’ve got a hockey game in SLC!

Arguably the loudest “Ref you suck.” chants I’ve heard at Delta Center after Suzuki scored.
Fans weren’t happy that Montreal wasn’t called for either a hold or hook on Nate Schmidt who attempted to clear the puck but was unable to.
