Norwegian Red Wings prospect Michael Brandsegg-Nygard doesn’t always seem to know what to say when he’s talking to the media. Fortunately for him, his numbers and level of play say plenty on his behalf.
Brandsegg-Nygard was selected as the game’s No. 1 star when his Grand Rapids Griffins walloped the Texas Stars 6-3 Wednesday to raise their record to 14-1-0-1.
The 2024 first-round pick put up a goal and an assist, and was active physically, to pace the Griffins’ attack. He now boasts four goals and four assists for eight points in his past eight games for the AHL’s most dominant team.
