From an R&B festival to a Dallas Stars game, residents have plenty to choose from in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this week.

Music

Jam out with Dru Hill, Kut Klose, Michel’le, Changing Faces and Shai at the ’90s R&B Fest from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday in Texas Hall on South Nedderman Drive. All-white attire is recommended, and tickets are around $70.

Entertainment

Witness a production full of circus acts, dance and surprises from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the United Performing Arts Company in Pantego, Texas. Presented by Cirque Étendue, “Lumière d’Hiver” is a holiday tale about love, loss and the magic of chosen family. Tickets start at around $35.

Start the holiday season off strong with a performance of “The Nutcracker” by Leap of Faith Arts at 6 p.m. Saturday at Arlington Music Hall on North Center Street. The journey is filled with music, costumes and performance, and tickets start at around $20.

Families and friends can test their knowledge at a free trivia night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Anchor Bar on East Lamar Boulevard. The winning teams receive gift cards, and three free trivia clues can be sent the morning of the game for anyone looking for a leg up in the competition.

Learn about the material choices artists make and how they inform the overall impact of the work through a free guided tour of Dallas Contemporary’s exhibit “Pam Evelyn: Salvaged Future” from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday. The tour will focus on Evelyn’s material and process.

Sports

Cheer on the Dallas Stars as they take on the Ottawa Senators from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The Stars are currently 15-5 with 4 overtime losses, and the Senators are 12-7 with 4 overtime losses as well. Tickets start at around $28.
