Overall, the Montreal Canadiens played a superb game against the Utah Mammoth on Wednesday night.

The first line had an incredible game, real chemistry is forming between Zachary Bolduc, Nick Suzuki, and Cole Caufield, and several other players stood out, including Ivan Demidov and Juraj Slafkovský.

However, one forward stood out for the wrong reasons on Wednesday night.

Harsh criticism toward forward Joe Veleno once again

It simply doesn’t seem to be working for Veleno, and he is probably staying in the lineup because he is a center, but I don’t see how they can keep him there while Alexandre Texier waits for his chance.“It’s way too easy to blame a fourth-line player for all the team’s woes, and that’s definitely not the reason the Habs are losing, but I’m not sure what Veleno brings to the table for the Habs.

Struggles defensively, and is very limited offensively.”

– Marc Dumont

That summarizes it very well. We even have some rather embarrassing footage to support it:

And you, what is your opinion on keeping Joe Veleno in the Montreal Canadiens’ lineup?

Joe Veleno, 25 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 201-pound forward from Montreal.

He is a first-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in 2018 and has just one point in 17 games this season (with a negative differential of -8).

It will be interesting to see what happens next in his case, but I don’t see how he can remain in the lineup much longer.
