Seattle Kraken forward Jaden Schwartz is expected to miss six weeks with a lower-body injury, the team announced Friday.
Schwartz, who was injured in Wednesday’s loss to the Dallas Stars, has eight goals and 15 points in 23 games this season. The 33-year-old winger is a pending unrestricted free agent, carrying a cap hit of $5.5 million this season.

Schwartz posted a career-best 26 goals and had 49 points in 81 games with the Kraken last season.
A veteran of 834 career NHL games with the Kraken and St. Louis Blues, Schwartz has 230 goals and 542 points over his career.
The Kraken enter play Friday sitting third in the Pacific Division with an 11-6-6 record this season. Seattle will host the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
