We open up NHL predictions with a key matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Colorado Avalanche. Montreal is going to start Jakub Dobes in the net for this game. The Habs are 4-4-2 in the last 10 games, but have won the last three consecutive games entering this matchup. Cole Caufield leads the team in goals and has six points in the last 10 games.
Mackenzie Blackwood is the likely starter, with Scott Wedgewood starting the day before. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. Colorado saw its 10-game winning streak after an overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild. The Avalanche will be rocking the Quebec Nordiques sweaters for this game. Nathan MacKinnon is already at 19 goals and 41 points so far this campaign.
Montreal had an easier time with the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday. However, Colorado has only lost once in regulation, and it should get the bounce-back win.
Prediction: Avalanche win 4-2.
