The Detroit Red Wings power play failed them on Saturday, but at least they escaped with a point.

Morgan Geekie scored a pair of goals in regulation and Casey Middelstadt tallied the lone goal in the shootout to lift the Boston Bruins to a 3-2 victory at TD Garden.

The Red Wings (13-11-2) are winless in four (0-3-1) but snapped a three-game regulation losing streak.

Jeremy Swayman made 24 saves, including three during a Detroit power play in overtime, and denied all three shooters in the shootout – Lucas Raymond, Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat.

The Red Wings went 0 for 5 on the power play, registering six shots.

These teams meet again Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network).

Michael Rasmussen tied it at 2-2 with 1:54 remaining in regulation after Cam Talbot was pulled for the extra skater. He went to the net and converted a pass from Kane for his fourth of the season and second in as many games.

Geekie snapped a 1-1 tie with 6:21 left in the third period, blasting in a one-timer just 27 seconds into a power play, following Ben Chiarot’s high-sticking penalty. It was Geekie’s 20th goal, tying him for the NHL lead with Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon.

Raymond tied it at 1-1 at 6:38 of the third period. He went to the net and redirected a pass by Dylan Larkin to complete a tic-tac-toe play started by Emmitt Finnie. It was Raymond’s eighth goal.

Geekie’s goal at 4:25 of the second period was the only scoring through two periods. Geekie, at the net front, redirected a point shot by Hampus Lindholm.
