Jeremy Swayman admits he has been thinking about making Team USA at the 2026 Olympics, but his focus remains on the Boston Bruins.

Swayman made Team USA at the 4 Nations but was the third goalie behind Connor Hellebuyck and Jake Oettinger. With that, Swayman has a good chance to make Team USA, which he has thought about, but he knows all he can control is his play for the Bruins.

“Of course,” Swayman said on Saturday when asked if the Olympics were on his mind, as seen on the NESN’s postgame show. “It’s been a life goal of mine to be on the Olympic team. I do know that if I do my job for the Boston Bruins, it’s going to put me in a good position to be there one day.

“So I’m just going to stick to my day-to-day life here. Hopefully it works out the right way.”

Hellebucyk is currently injured, while Oettinger has struggled as of late, meaning Swayman could be the frontrunner to start for Team USA.

Swayman has represented the USA at the World Juniors in 2018, the 4 Nations last season, and at the World Championship in 2022 and 2025.

With the Bruins this season, Swayman is 11-6-0 with a 2.62 GAA and a .915 SV%. His strong play has helped Boston to a 15-12-0 record, which is good for second place in the Atlantic Division.
