The St. Louis Blues placed forward Nathan Walker on injured reserve on Monday with an upper-body injury.
The Cardiff, Wales native will be reevaluated in eight weeks.
Walker, 31, has three goals and six assists in 25 games this season.
The 89th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Walker is in his seventh season with the team. Prior to joining the Blues as a free agent, Walker spent time with the Washington Capitals and Edmonton Oilers, winning a Stanley Cup with the former in 2018.
In 254 career games across nine seasons, Walker has 31 goals and 34 assists.
Walker is in the final year of a two-year, $1.55 million deal. A two-year, $1.775 million extension for Walker kicks in next season.
The Blues, currently seventh in the Central Division, return to action on Thursday with a visit to the Boston Bruins.
