The Chicago Blackhawks (11-9-5) kick off a four-game West Coast road trip against the Vegas Golden Knights (11-6-8) at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday night.

Last time out, the Blackhawks clawed their way back from an early 3-0 deficit to defeat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 and snap a five-game losing streak on Sunday. Connor Bedard led the charge with a four-point effort, scoring two goals and adding two assists in the comeback win. Bedard is now third in the NHL with 37 points on the season. Tyler Bertuzzi, Ryan Greene, and Colton Dach were responsible for the other three goals against Anaheim.

The Golden Knights are coming off a 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday to snap their own four-game losing skid. Tomas Hertl scored twice, while Colton Sissons and Mitch Marner also found the back of the net. Carl Lindblom stopped 18 of 21 shots faced to record his first NHL win in net.

Vegas has been slightly underwhelming to start the season, losing 14 of its opening 25 contests. Still, they currently sit third in the Pacific Division with 30 points and are only three points behind the first-place Ducks.

Here’s everything to note before puck drops at 9:00 p.m. CT in Las Vegas.

Blackhawks Regular Season Notes (Last Five Games)

Well, that wasn’t very good. The Blackhawks suffered their worst loss of the season in the back end of their back-to-back, falling 9-3 to the Buffalo Sabres in embarrassing fashion. It’s the first time the Blackhawks have allowed nine goals in a game since 2011.

The Blackhawks went toe-to-toe with the NHL’s top team, the Colorado Avalanche, but still had their losing streak extended to three games. Scott Wedgewood got the better of Spencer Knight in a goaltending duel at the United Center.

Another red-hot Central Division opponent, the Minnesota Wild, came into the United Center on Wednesday. Similar to Sunday, the Blackhawks outplayed the Wild for most of the night, but their losing streak was extended to four games with a 4-3 overtime loss. Another controversial call helped Kirill Kaprizov net the overtime winner on the power play.

The losing streak has reached five games after another one-goal loss on home ice to a Central Division opponent. The Blackhawks lost 4-3 to the last-place Nashville Predators. It’s been a dreadful start to the four-game homestand.

Connor Bedard exploded for his third four-point performance of the season to lift the Blackhawks to a 5-3 comeback victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Finally, the losing streak has ended.
