As the Nashville Predators continue on with their year, the franchise has been placed into all sorts of trade rumors. Many of these have been centered around star Steven Stamkos, and there are some around the NHL who believe he could be moved at the upcoming trade deadline.

Stamkos is in the second year of a four-year deal that he signed with Nashville during the 2024 offseason. Things haven’t quite worked out very well for him with the Predators, and there have been all sorts of trade rumors flying around of late.

Nashville is reportedly looking to make some moves at the upcoming NHL trade deadline next spring, and Stamkos is a prime player to be moved. There have already been a few teams interested in making moves to land his services, and this could help set up the Predators very well on the trade front.

Stamkos is still a very good player, even if he isn’t the All-Star-level guy that he was just a few years ago. In his first season with the Predators, Stamkos put up 27 goals and had 26 assists over 82 games played in the regular season.

There will be multiple teams interested in trading for him, and Stamkos could be a big addition for any contending team. The veteran knows how to win at the highest level, and he could end up being the steal of the trade deadline in all possibilities.

This is just a prediction, NOT a report!

Steven Stamkos Traded Back to Tampa Bay Lightning

As the Predators look around the league for a potential trade of Stamkos, if they do move him, one team just makes a lot of sense. That would be the Tampa Bay Lightning, with whom Stamkos spent the majority of his NHL career.

This could be one of the more fun storylines across the NHL, especially because he was so loved in Tampa Bay. Stamkos could return to his old stomping grounds after only being away for a little more than a season.

The two teams would need to get creative to get a deal done, but weirder things have gone down around the league previously. Stamkos could provide a big boost to the Tampa Bay offensive attack, helping them to be more of a Stanley Cup contender.

Both sides would likely welcome a return, especially since Stamkos has proven that he can still be an impactful player on the ice. Tampa Bay would get one of its franchise cornerstones back for the final few years of his career, while Stamkos could return to a team trying to win.

This could be one of the better moves for each side, and the Predators would likely net some decent assets in a trade for the veteran star. It remains to be seen how aggressive the Lightning will be to retain Stamkos, but the fans in Tampa Bay would surely love to see this go down.
