The Vancouver Canucks’ projected lineup and starting goaltender have been revealed for tonight’s game against Nathan MacKinnon & the NHL-leading Colorado Avalanche.
After back-to-back losses against the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings, the Vancouver Canucks will be looking to get back into the win column tonight and go .500 on their road trip, but standing in their way is the Colorado Avalanche, who are first in the NHL with an 18-1-6 record through 25 games.
Vancouver Canucks’ projected lineup, starting goalie announced for tonight’s game vs Colorado Avalanche
Adam Foote’s group were on the ice this morning at Ball Arena in Denver preparing for tonight’s game against the Colorado Avalanche and according to Dan Murphy of Sportsnet, Kevin Lankinen was going through the starters routine and will make his second consecutive appearance following Saturday’s overtime loss to the Kings.
The Helsinki, Finland native has a 4-7-2 record in 14 games for the Vancouver Canucks this season along with a 3.50 goals against average and an .881 save percentage.
Meanwhile for the rest of Vancouver’s roster, they didn’t go through line rushes at the morning skate today and appear to be rolling with the same lines and defensive pairings from yesterday’s practice in Los Angeles.
2023 first round pick Jonathan Lekkerimaki will be on the top line with Elias Pettersson and Evander Kane, while David Kamp will center Brock Boeser and Kiefer Sherwood on the second trio.
Drew O’Connor, Max Sasson and Jake DeBrusk will make up the third line, with Arshdeep Bains, Aatu Raty and Linus Karlsson rounding out the bottom six, meaning Lukas Reichel will be a healthy scratch for the second straight game.
The Canucks’ defensive pairings also remain untouched, with Quinn Hughes & Filip Hronek on the top pair, Marcus Pettersson & Tyler Myers on the second, with Elias Pettersson & Tom Willander on the third.
