Schaefer scored a goal Tuesday in a 5-1 victory over the Flames.
It was Schaefer’s first NHL goal. He gave the Preds a 1-0 lead early in the first period when he stuffed in a rebound of a shot attempt by Fedor Svechkov. Schaefer debuted Nov. 28, and he has played three NHL games. He was drafted 32nd overall by Edmonton in the first round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
