We open up NHL predictions with the Dallas Stars taking on the New Jersey Devils at The Rock. Dallas is expected to start Jake Oettinger after Casey DeSmith got the call in a 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Rangers. Despite the loss, the Stars are 7-1-2 in their previous 10 games. Jason Robertson is leading the team in points with 35, but is tied with Wyatt Johnston for first in goals with 16.

New Jersey is expected to counter with Jacob Markstrom in goal. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Devils are 5-5 in the last 10 games, and that includes losses in their last two games. New Jersey is a solid 9-2-1 at the Prudential Center so far this campaign. Jesper Bratt is first on the club in assists (21) and points (26).

Dallas is coming off a tough overtime loss across the Hudson River. However, the Stars should get the win.

Prediction: Stars win 4-2.
