TAMPA, Fla. — Members of the Vegas Golden Knights organization probably held their breath for a moment as goaltender Carter Hart took the ice, his first start in two years, wondering about the reception he would receive. It was positive, and our Hannah Kirkell has full coverage from Vegas. Elsewhere in the Daily, Artemi Panarin got cryptic when talking about his future, potentially even going back to Russia. The Vancouver Canucks are stirring more NHL trade rumors, and we dug into the things lifting the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Yes, I beat the Penguins to Tampa by a couple of days. It’s 75 degrees, sunny, and there are palm trees outside my hotel window. On the downside, Tampa is NOT a foodie town, and I had wings at a local bar called–wait for it–The Press Box.

I had to stay about two miles outside of downtown, and the wifi at this future geriatric facility is 1.5 Mbps. 1.5?! For comparison sake, Starbucks is usually about 85. Most people have 200 to 500 in their homes. I have 1000. 1.5??!!

But the room has a great coffee pot, so that will save a few bucks. Anyway, the Penguins Live Chat today is, obviously, in danger. I will try to find an appropriate public place to do it. We’ve tried the cell phone thing before, and the streaming software/service just gobbles up 5G data and wants more, so I’m not doing what I normally do and trying a thousand experiments, hoping one will work, then getting angry when they fail during the chat.

Maybe we’ll just do it from the arena tomorrow. We’ll see. Make sure to like our YouTube page so you get a notification when I go live.
