The Nashville Predators defeated the Calgary Flames by a 5-1 final score on Dec. 2. Former Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Steven Stamkos played a role in the Predators’ win, as he scored the eventual game-winning goal at the 5:04 mark of the second period.Â
With this goal, Stamkos has now hit a massive career milestone, as he has recorded the 1,200th point of his NHL career. It took the former Lightning captain 1,190 career NHL games to hit the 1,200 career point mark.Â
Stamkos is now just the 53rd player in NHL history to record 1,200 points. This just shows how outstanding of an NHL career he has had.Â
Stamkos, of course, got a significant portion of his points during his 16-year stint with the Bolts. In 1,082 games with the Lightning, he posted 555 goals, 582 assists, and 1,137 points. This included him recording 40 goals and 81 points in 79 during his final season with the Lightning in 2023-24.Â
Stamkos has had a bit of a tough start to the 2025-26 season with the Predators, as he has posted seven goals, three assists, 10 points, and a minus-9 rating in 26 games. Perhaps getting career point No. 1,200 will give him the spark to heat back up offensively for Nashville.Â
