Colorado Hockey Now

Mackenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood were joined by another goalie on the road trip.

Wedgewood left Tuesday’s game with an inury that, thankfully, isn’t serious.

Nathan MacKinnon scored twice in yet another game where he was under the weather. This comes after he had a goal and two assists in a one-sided game against the Montreal Canadiens over the weekend.

MacKinnon admitted Saturday was a lot worse than Tuesday. But, he was still a force offensively.

Even when he’s sick, it’s near impossible to stop Colorado’s superstar center.

Around The NHL

Florida Hockey Now: The Panthers are last place in the Eastern Conference, albeit they’re also just six points from a playoff spot. Getting Matthew Tkachuk back eventually will help, but to get through this current stretch, the help needs to come from within. And they know that.

We’re not in disaster scenario quite yet, as the season is still young. But, the first-round draft pick Florida sent to Chicago for Seth Jones is an unprotected 2026 first rounder. I’m sure Chicago is rooting against Florida in every game.

The Blackhawks also got Spencer Knight in that deal.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Sidney Crosby is casually on pace to score the most goals in any season of his career.

Philly Hockey Now: The injury to Tyson Foerster means a larger role for Nikita Grebenkin. How will he respond?

San Jose Hockey Now: Michael Misa is on his way to the AHL for a conditioning stint. Will he return to San Jose to play regularly? Or eventually join Team Canada for the upcoming World Juniors?

New Jersey Hockey Now: Blue Jackets head coach Dean Evason responded to Sheldon Keefe’s comments about the Brenden Dillon fight.
