The Bruins are looking to bounce back from a 5-4 loss on Tuesday to the Detroit Red Wings in which Boston fell behind 2-0 in the first period. The squad was down 3-0 in the second before finally getting on the board with Jonathan Aspirot’s first goal of the season. Alex Steeves followed that with his first goal of the night, but the REd Wings responded with another pair of goals to make it 5-2 early in the third. Marat Khusnutdinov would eventually score and then Steeves got his second in the final moments of the match as the Bruins moved to 15-13-0 on the season.

The Blues haven’t played since Monday when they lost to the Anaheim Ducks, 4-1, moving St. Louis to 9-11-7. The team had won two straight prior, defeating the Utah Mammoth 1-0 thanks to a Dylan Holloway goal, and knocking off the Ottawa Senators 4-3 in a game featuring a frantic final period. Oskar Sundqvist scored the game’s first goal in the second to give the Blues a short-lived lead. The Senators put 2 on the board and took a 2-1 lead into the third. Jordan Kyrou, who scored the lone goal in Monday’s loss to the Ducks, equalized the score early in the third before Pavel Buchnevich gave St. Louis the lead again. Ottawa would tie the game two minutes late and then about two minutes after that, Matthew Kessel scored his second goal of the season, which was also the game-winner. After this trip to Boston, St. Louis heads to Ottawa and then Montreal before hosting the Bruins for their second and final regular season meeting.
