The Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles Kings will play two consecutive games in Los Angeles, starting on Thursday. Here’s how to watch the late-night game.
Although the holiday rush wasn’t all that kind to the Chicago Blackhawks, an impressive comeback win on Sunday softened the blow. A five-game losing streak was snapped with five unanswered goals against the Pacific’s top-seeded Anaheim Ducks. Now, its about creating new streaks and the Blackhawks have a tough test ahead with the ever-dangerous Vegas Golden Knights.
The Chicago Blackhawks seemingly cannot collect wins despite being so close. Although it was a well-fought effort on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, the Blackhawks fell in a shootout to the Vegas Golden Knights. Now, the Blackhawks gear up for another tough test, playing their first of two games against the Los Angeles Kings in their own building on Thursday night.
Chicago Blackhawks at Los Angeles Kings Preview
The Los Angeles Kings are off to another hot start after making the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season. Just two points behind Anaheim for the division lead, and one point behind Vegas for second, the Kings need to keep winning against the Hawks. As for the Hawks, they’re looking to capitalize on Connor Bedard’s unreal play of late and take two important points in LA. The Hawks are only a point back of a playoff spot, so wins are still meaningful to a young team learning how to win.
The recently-paid Adrian Kempe, Quinton Byfield, and Kevin Fiala lead the Kings in scoring, with seemingly-ageless wonders Anze Kopitar and Corey Perry falling in right behind. The Kings always play tough, able to push offensively until they can sit back and defensively wait a team out. The Hawks had a little bit of success against these Kings last season, but that was on the heels of a spectacular Spencer Knight debut.
Regardless, the Hawks will have two opportunities in Los Angeles to get important wins against some of the best in the league.
