(Calgary, Alberta/Minnesota News Network) — The Flames scored three times in the third period to beat the Wild 4-1 on Thursday night and end their 12 game point streak. Yakov Trenin scored his second of the year in the second period to tie the score at 1-1 but the Flames regained the lead with a pair of goals in less that three minutes to open the third period and then finished the scoring late into an empty net. The Wild had been 10-0-2 in their previous 12 but will suffer their first loss in regulation since November 6th and will also see their five game road win streak come to an end as well. Filip Gustavsson suffered the loss 26 saves. The Wild are now 1-1-0 on the road trip and it continues on Saturday night in Vancouver before ending on Monday night in Seattle.
