Montreal Canadiens
Forward Josh Anderson (therapy day) is not participating in Friday’s practice ahead of Saturday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jakub Dobes will get the start in goal for the game. Head coach Martin St. Louis told reporters that Samuel Montembeault will “probably” play Sunday against the St. Louis Blues.
Ottawa Senators
Head coach Travis Green did not have an update on Shane Pinto, adding that he won’t play Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues and the team may call up a forward on Saturday.
Pinto was forced to leave in the first period of a 4-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday due to a lower-body injury.
Pinto fell to the ice after being checked along the boards by New York centre Mika Zibanejad. Pinto appeared to be in some discomfort as he skated back to the bench.
Travis Green says there is no update on the condition of Shane Pinto except for the fact that he won’t play tomorrow night.
