With the 33rd overall pick of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, the San Jose Sharks selected skilled forward Igor Chernyshov. This is a decision that the Sharks must be happy about, as the 20-year-old is showing plenty of promise in the AHL with the San Jose Barracuda this season.

Chernyshov is having a fantastic season with the Barracuda thus far, as he has posted 11 goals, nine assists, 20 points, and a plus-5 rating in 21 games so far. However, it is also important to note that he is only getting better as the season carries on.

Chernyshov has been red-hot as of late, posting eight goals and 14 points over his last 10 games alone. He has also recorded two goals and four points over his last two games, so he is showing zero signs of slowing down. He was also named the AHL Rookie of the Month for November because of his excellent play.

With the way Chernyshov is impressing in the AHL, there is no question that Sharks fans should be excited about his future with the club.
