LYNCHBURG, Va. – William Dyke made 25 saves in his first shutout of the season, leading the way for No. 2-ranked Minot State in a 5-0 win over No. 8 Liberty in the Flames’ “Midnight Madness” game late Friday night and Saturday morning. 

Colby Joseph scored what proved to be the game-winner 6 minutes and 14 seconds into the action, giving the Beavers an early 1-0 lead. 

Joey Moffatt and Jaxon Grosdidier added a goal each in the first period, stretching the Beavers lead, then Matt Egan scored in the second period and Brett Tataryn added a final goal in the third period for the 5-0 victory. 

The two teams wrap up their weekend series in Virginia with a second game tonight.
