The Colorado Avalanche are coming off their second regulation loss of the season against the New York Islanders.
Jonathan Quick is coming off injured reserve after missing multiple games with a lower-body injury. In turn, Spencer Martin has been reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Igor Shesterkin will once again get the start in net, and Adam Edstrom remains out. On the other side, goaltender Scott Wedgewood is out, and Mackenzie Blackwood will get the start.Â

Player to Watch: Noah Laba
Noah Laba continues to prove the Rangers right every day for not sending him to Hartford. Laba scored the first goal in the Blueshirts’ win against the Dallas Stars and was integral in Gavrikov’s goal against the Senators.

He, Cuylle, and Berard continue to generate scoring chances and have had success in their limited ice time together. During the offseason, head coach Mike Sullivan emphasized how important a strong third line is, and Laba has been integral to its positive play.
