We just got a nice surprise on the National Hockey League trade market. Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens may have a chance to capitalize, as former first round pick has been made available.

The Winnipeg Jets have openly made young forward Brad Lambert available.

“League sources say the Jets have given 2022 first round pick Brad Lambert’s representation permission to find a trade partner.

Lambert, 21, has one goal in four games for the Jets in limited minutes this season”

Things are heating up as Kent Hughes and the Canadiens explore multiple trade options

Brad Lambert, 21 years old, is a right-handed center standing 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 173 pounds, who was a 1st-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets in 2022.

The Canadiens selected Filip Mesar 26th that year, while Lambert went 30th, even though Lambert was viewed as an exceptional player a few years earlier. Many expected him to be selected (along with Shane Wright) in the top-5 of the 2022 draft.
