San Jose Barracuda defenseman Jack Thompson scored the teddy bear toss goal at the 5:20 mark of the first period on Saturday.
Thompson took a back pass from San Jose Sharks prospect Filip Bystedt and fired the wrist shot into the back of the net to set the Tech CU crowd free.
Last season, center Lucas Vanroboys scored the teddy bear toss goal. Thompson became the 7th different player to score the goal, sending the teddies to charity. Other goal scorers include current San Jose Sharks forward Barclay Goodrow, back in 2015. Barracuda winger Ethan Cardwell scored the teddy toss goal in 2023.

If the San Jose Barracuda hold on and win Saturday’s game, they will have won 12 of their past 15 games. The ‘Cuda could finish the night just one point out of first place in the Pacific Division.
