The toll of the season seems to be taking it’s effect on the Vancouver Canucks players, Quinn Hughes has been showing his emotions lately, and after their most recent loss to the Utah Mammoth, Elias Pettersson looks pretty defeated.
“Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet reported on the drama surrounding Hughes and the Canucks. He clearly doesn’t want to be there but Patrick Allvin and Jim Rutherford do not want to let him go. But his play isn’t helping the Canucks, his trade value on the other hand would.”-Stinson
Elias Pettersson not looking too encouraged after most recent loss to Utah Mammoth.
The Vancouver Canucks posted on X the post-game interview, while Pettersson was saying they believe they can beat anyone, his body language was telling another story. It didn’t appear as a motivated hunger to do better, rather a hopeless sentiment instead.
«We just got to come together as a five and be better.»

The Canucks power play went through a good stretch in the month of November, but now it seems like it’s going back towards it’s poor ways from the beginning of the season. When asked what needs to be changed, Pettersson said he doesn’t know, it’s not encouraging he doesn’t have the answers, even 5on5 they can’t produce enough offence to win games, and Pettesson again does not have any solutions to this.
Most of the fans who commented on the post, have expressed their dissatisfaction with the organization. The head office has had zero accountability for the poor team they have put on the ice, and the majority of the fans want to see Hughes and Pettersson traded, not because of poor play, but because they deserve better.
It’s definitely not a good feeling in Vancouver right now, the players can’t hide it anymore, and the head office needs to change something about the direction of the franchise, or they need to be replaced at the end of the day.
