The Dallas Stars made some pivotal roster moves Sunday morning.
Forward Matt Duchene and defenseman Nils Lundkvist have been activated from long-term injured reserve, the team announced. Both Duchene and Lundkvist have been out since mid-October with injuries.

On Saturday, Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said Duchene and Lundkvist could be available for Sunday’s Stars-Penguins matchup.

The Stars originally placed Duchene on LTIR in November. He was injured on a hit during the Oct. 14 game against Minnesota.
Meanwhile, Lundkvist landed on LTIR in late October. He was originally deemed week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

The moves come a day after the Stars announced other LTIR-related moves. Dallas placed Tyler Seguin and Lian Bichsel on LTIR as both players deal with lower-body injuries.
