It was only a week ago when Aatu Raty got benched against the Anaheim Ducks, last night he recorded his first three-point game against the Minnesota Wild, Adam Foote’s callout has seemed to motivate the Finnish forward rather than discourage him.
“Following the game head coach Adam Foote stated that Raty likely needs a break, watching a few games from the stands. It’s good sometimes to get a different perspective on the game and watching it from an overhead angle. It’ll also help clear his mind and refocus on the push before the holidays.”-Stinson
Aatu Raty shines in 4-2 win against the Minnesota Wild
The Vancouver Canucks posted on X a clip of a very happy Raty, after recording 3 points. 2 goals and 1 assist. Raty was struggling mightily before this game, as he was playing way out of his depth, due to the lack of center depth of the Canucks.
Smile if you had your first career 3-point game. 😄
It’s good to see Raty answer back, after being called out by his coach. Not every player can rise to the occasion, especially when the season is already going poorly for everyone.
In other good news for the team, Tom Willander scored his first career goal, with an absolute laser that beat Wallstedt clean top corner.

The Canucks are now gearing up to face the Detroit Red Wings Monday night in Vancouver, to try and keep the momentum going.
